Bloody hell, a gig.

Well I never.
*looks suitably chuffed*

We have a GIG.
With Helen Barley's band, as a guest fiddler.
At a Semi-Snooty Vineyard.
Actually, pretty darrrrrrn snooty, now I come to think about it.

That's the good news.
The not sad, but *sigh* news - she doesn't seem interested in anything other than our ability to improvise to almost anything on the fiddle. Our mediocre guitar playing does not impress, and she doesn't seem to think much of our voice. We weren't in perfect voice, being a bit too fiddly for that - coz I think we need to summon up singers to actually sing, though it's us, the musicians, who ~steer~ them. I think Francesca can sing, and maybe we need that ocean presence, I don't know. We weren't in perfect form. And I mean, Helen Barley SINGS and plays GUITAR, so it's not really surprising she's more interested in us as fiddle players.

I know I know but I still want to play guitar and sing.

Anyway, enough of that, the good news is :
Guest Fiddler GIG!
HELEN BARLEY's BAND!
SNOOTY VINEYARD!

you have to admit, you're a pretty darn good fiddler.
(maybe helen didn't want you to outshine her in the guitar/singing stakes?!?)
